First Time Honest Review
JenSource: Judge.me
This is the very first time I attempted to wear fake nails, as the salon wrecked my real ones. And this will be an honest review!
My first time applying took about an hour, as I sized them, learned the process, and was working carefully. Next time should be much faster.
I really loved this set, and have worn them now for about 11 days, cleaning, doing dishes, and then mulching outside for days (wore gloves but still got dirt underneath).
All except for 2 have stayed on well, one thumb I needed to replaced the adhesive within 2 days since I messed it up. The other (second finger) fake nail was too curvy to stay well attached at both ends well, (maybe too big so will try smaller next time), but I’ve continued to wear it anyway.
**I’m only giving this review a 4/5 because THE PRINT COLOR WILL CHIP OFF as you use them, mostly on my thumbs which are apparently the hardest working digit. Hence, I’m not sure I can reuse these beautiful nails, which I wanted to save for my daughter’s wedding. :( I’m wondering if applying my own clear gel topcoat would have saved them from chipping color like that? Since this champaign is such a light color, others can hardly tell. But if it was the red, I’m sure it would be seen. So the jury is still out until I try the other colors. If they all chip off color and I can’t reuse, then I will not keep ordering.
Also, they say you can file them. (and need to smooth the tab). I didn’t find this a good thing to do–it kind of left a shredded line (too soft) instead of a clean line. Maybe this contributed to the color chipping? Not sure, but developers should be aware.
I have yet to remove them (will tomorrow), but the one I did and replaced was easy. So that’s a plus!
